I ususally get this one before the demo - when I up people that are already browsing the lot. I like to bypass it until I've built some value. "We're asking $XXXXX for this one, by the way were you looking for a 2-door or a 4-door?" (a 4-door) "Do you prefer a 5-speed or an automatic?" and so on. The 'best price' question is long forgotten.
If i get it after the demo but before a commitment I like to ask people if we've found the car they like enough to own. If not it doesnt matter what the price is. If we have then I have a commitment! I try to get another couple small ones and then we're off to the write-up.
