If you have someone you know are gonna go shop no matter what, don't give a price. Tell them "Hey I understand you want to make sure you get the best price so let me tell you what I'm going to do. I want you to go shop, go look around, get the best price you can, and then COME BACK and I guaranty I will beat it for you! (very few dealerships are going to let a sale go this way, because even if its only $50 you beat the lowest quote by, the customer will probably jump on it.) Tell the customer, "doesn't that sound fair to you? That way you will go get the lowest price you can find, and when you bring it back here, you will get even lower than that!"
