Depending on the dearlership you may be able to offer the husband / wife the opportunity to "D tag", put them out on a Demo Tag, the customer once the paperwork is done. This gets the numbers all out in the open so the spouce knows what their accepting. The car is then parked in the driveway and the initiating party has the opportunity to start taking possesion of the vehicle. You can also use this option to help smoke out any underlying objections.
