    Topic: The Phone shopper

Topic Description: I am not sure what the best way to handle a phone shopper is. I work in a smaller yard, and completely handle the sale from start to finish. When i get a phone shopper who wants my best price over the phone, or wants a trade value, i normally help out and hope i'm a chance of getting the deal. But they rarely come good, and I'm thinking I've got little to lose by not giving the price at all. What do you guys and girls think??

I absolutely love phone ups! (When I am fast enough to grab them!) The beauty of them is that the customer has usually already seen the car that they want in an ad, on line, etc.. At that point, you just ask questions, qualify, get excited, just like they were there on the lot. A lot of times, you can sell the vehicle on the phone! Beautiful!! One thing that drives me insane though, is the guy who calls and wants to know what the "lease special" is for a vehicle. A lot of times when I try to qualify the person for more info, they aren't cooperative and just want to know the "special". How do you handle that guy? It seems to me that the only way to deal with him is to lie to him to get him in the door. Any advice?
