    Hello all,
    I have an interview with a reputable GM dealership for a sales position coming up. I would like to know if there is anyone who would like to give me some advice about the questions that the sales manager will ask me. Also, what types of questions might I be asking him? Thank you so much.

    Gordon, aren't you working somewhere yet?!

    The questions you'll get asked as an applicant will vary wildly. Just answer them honestly and the best you can.

    Some questions to ask a prospective employer would be;

    1) What are you looking for in a sales rep?

    2) Do you have both women and men working for you as sales reps?

    3) What kind, and how much training do you provide?

    4) What is the average tenure of your sales staff?

    5) Why so much turnover? (If they have high turnover)

    6) Does your schedule allow your people to have a family life?

    7) How long have you been with the company?

    8) Why do you choose to work here?

    9) Why should I work here over somewhere else?

    There are others, of course, but basically you want to find a place that respects their employees as much as they profess to respect their clients. Plus, if you see that a particular dealership is ALWAYS advertising for sales people, avoid them like the plague. There are reasons why they can't keep good salespeople and chances are they haven't even started to ask why.
