Topic Description: I noticed a few people on here mentioning doing home deliveries, I do about 6-10 of these each month. I have to say it has been 100% positive each time. You must have the full support of the desk and the finance office. I generally let my customers know that they are in no way obligated, and if they decide they do not want the car, then no harm, no foul. I have had only one just not work out. The people are generally nice, and easy to work with, and flattered. This is by rule their second largest purchase they make, so why not make them feel like kings and queens! If any of you try this, here are some hints to help: 1) leave some flexibility in your deal. The trade may not be as great as the customer thinks it is. 2)Have the sales manager you worked the deal with cell phone, nothing worse, than waiting on hold for numbers. 3)Have the paperwork pretyped, or at very worst have the confidence and skill to be able to do the paperwork by hand in their home. And carry Blanks! 4) Starting figures for their trade in, or better yet, Manheim figures. This always helps for trade in value's! 5) Never forget about the back end! Finance needs to eat too! Best of luck to you!

Great idea! Be aware, that in many states, delivering any kind of merchandise to someone's home allows them a 72 hour right to rescind. That's absolutely no reason not to do what Jeff suggests here. Just a heads up is all.
