Subject: women- second set of rules, to be sure
    Message:
Good, bad, or neither, the most helpful information I could give you is this. If the question is, "Is there another set of rules for women in the auto industry?", the answer is a resounding "yes". Cast your feminine sensibilities into the washing machine. This is not a business where ANYONE who can't take a direct barking order from a kid ten or more years younger than themselves will survive. Many of the women I've met who find themselves in this business later in life have been successful elsewhere in a more civilized industry (forgive me, boys) OR harder still, are coming out of a marriage or relationship, and are not in a place where they want to be ordered around by ANOTHER man. You need to let this go now. Don't complain about cramps, poorly fitting shoes, or having to lock up in the rain. Some guys will do this and be made fun of. The same behavior from you will be interpreted as fundamentally female. As the old saying goes, you will have to work twice as hard to be thought half as good. Fortunately, this is not difficult. Prepare to be offended often. Most of the time it will be on purpose. Let it go. Or better yet, stretch yourself to give back tenfold. And smile. Nothing is appreciated by a degenerate male carguy like a depraved carguy female who is better at disgusting than he is. Try farting.
